Only a few months remain for the first round of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) to start at Monte Carlo in January 2025. This will also take place on various continents, including Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and Saudi Arabia, in late November.

According to WRC promoter and managing director Jona Siebel, "the WRC calendar perfectly blends their traditional rallies with three exciting challenges, two of which are outside Europe, which highlights again the global appeal of the WRC Championship.

He continues, "From the ice in the French Alps, the knee-deep snows of Sweden, blinding dust in Kenya and Sardinia, the high-speed gravel rollercoaster of Finland and Estonia, and finally the desert in Saudi Arabia—those are the varieties that will be offered in 2025.".

The rally debuts in Saudi Arabia, offering a distinct terrain for each of the three days that the event will take place. The Central Europe Rally will see drivers battling changing tamarc road surfaces across Austria, the Czech Republic, and Germany.

WRC also returns to Spain after two years of stoppage, providing winding smooth tarmac and high-risk fog as the rally makes its way into the island's mountainous interiors. The new places introduced in the 2025 WRC calendar are Spain, Paraguay, and Saudi Arabia, adding more excitement and reflecting the global diversity of competitors and rally fans like. Japan won't be excluded, as it will host 2025 WRC at the start of November in 2025.
